Photographer Alex Prager

This photograph is unlike the usually photos that interest me but what I do like about this photo is how the artist captures the girl mid air. It also provokes curiosity as to how she is supporting herself from the branch. Out of all of the portraits I have seen, not that this is the most unique, but it is up there and for some reason I find it to be very successful.

Photographer Dan Ransom

Once again the science geek in me has been drawn to this photo by Dan Ransom. Unlike the last photo I posted, this on has no clouds what so ever in the sky. That is what allowed for such an astonishing view of the starlit sky. If only every night the stars were this bright and visible, but then this photo wouldn't be as brilliant.

Photographer Francois-Xavier Marciat

Though this photograph does not have as much color as some of the other ones I have chosen, it may be my favorite so far. The way that Marciat caught the opening in the clouds where the moon shines through. I really like this photo because I have tried to capture such instances and have not been able the get the clarity in the clouds. Between the clarity of the clouds and the perfect variation of lighting, I think this my be the most successful photograph of a clouded sky.

Photographer Florian Ritter

This photograph caught my eye as I was looking through some landscapes. I like the angle of this photo, how it is shot from a high position down an Asian street. I like the way the buildings have upward curving points. Also I like the brick street, the shingled roofs and the red oriental lamps. I have a personal list of all the places I want to go and take photos and I think I have just added another stop.

Photographer Edlo Kawa

As we all know, there are no real light bulb bug monsters that come out of peoples skin. That being said, I now know what it would look like if they were real. Kawa must have spent a lot of time setting up this photo. There is a slight cartoonish feel to the photo but how much more real could you really get with this concept. I tip my hat to Kawa for his editing skills as I know how difficult it is to ad something into a photo that wasn't there before and make it look real. Good work Edlo.

Photographer Colby Brown

One thing that I have always wanted to photograph since I discovered photography has been the Aurora Borealis. Aside from my being an art lover, I am a bit of a science geek and the combination of those two passion makes this one life long dream to see and photograph to view whenever I please. I bet for Colby Brown, looking at photos of it is stunning, but looking at your own photograph of an Aurora that you witnessed yourself has to be nothing short of magical. I only hope that some day I can experience the same feeling.

Dene` Miles is a landscape photographer as you can see. My question to her would be
where do you go to find sky's like these. I might also ask if she uses photoshop only because
where I live I did not even know that the sky could display such colors.
