How much did this dreadfully boring photo go for? Rhine II sold for 2.7 million British pounds or just over 4.8 million U.S. dollars. If you could make that much money from photographing a stream or pond, who in their right mind would not become a photographer. A better question is, who in their right mind would pay close to five million dollars for a photo this simple. That is truly the million dollar question.
